The Mind Museum


Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc. started planning for the first world-class home for science in the country in January 2007. Continuing thanks to private corporations and individuals whose contributions made it possible for The Mind Museum to open its doors to the public on March 16, 2012.  

The Mind Museum's mission is to initiate and bolster science engagement in elevating aspects of individual, community and national life to inspire solutions to real-world problems. 

Affiliations

To strengthen its commitment to lifelong learning, The Mind Museum is a member of the Asia Pacific Network of Science & Technology Centres (ASPAC) and the Association of Science-Technology Centers. (ASTC).  

Our curator is the current executive director of ASPAC and sits on the Global Council of ASTC.


Awards

The Mind Museum has received the following awards:

2014 Thea Awardee

for outstanding achievement as a science museum due to its sensory-rich experience
The Mind Museum is the first science museum in Asia and the first Philippine institution to receive this award.

LEED Gold Certification

from the U.S. Green Building Council for sustainable design and construction

ASEAN Energy Awards

2nd Runner Up in the category of Energy Management in Buildings and Industries (S/M Building Category). 
The Mind Museum was one out of two awardees from the Philippines who received recognition among the ASEAN countries present.
